Homemade Peppermint Peppermint Soap

Supplies Needed:

Glycerine Soap Base

20 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

½ tsp. Coconut oil

Round peppermints

Silicone mold

Directions:

Chop glycerine block into small cubes, 1 inch x 1 inch is a good size for quick melting. How much you use will depend on the type of mold you have. For these square silicone cube molds I use about 12 of my little soap cubes.

Drop 1 or 2 unwrapped peppermints into the bottom of your mold, don’t worry about the sugar  they contain it will wash away with the soap, when it is down to nothing but candy you just toss it out.

Place cubes in a large saucepan over medium heat and stir frequently until completely melted.

Remove from heat and stir in essential oil and coconut oil to combine well.

Pour gently over peppermints in the mold, I fill mine just a little more than half way full in these large square silicone ice cube molds and it makes a great size for guest soaps.

Allow soap to cool and set for several hours then you can carefully remove them from the mold.

Store in a cool dry location.

Keep dry and out of water spray when not in use, they will dissolve away pretty quick if left standing in water.

You can use this same recipe to create soap filled with small toys, building bricks, a small piece of evergreen branch, and other little items.
