I’m happy to say that fall is upon us. That means everything from Apple Pie Sangria to this delicious Ginger and Pear Wine Cocktail will be making an appearance at our parties.
I’ll be honest, when I made the Apple Pie Sangria last year, I didn’t think anything could be as good but I’m going out on a limb here and telling you that this Ginger and Pear Wine Cocktail is my absolute favorite cocktail that I’m ever made. EVER. It’s that good.
The Cinnamon Simple Syrup, ginger and delicious Mirassou Chardonnay are the perfect flavor combinations and they all scream fall to me. Mirassou Chardonnay includes a variety of flavorful fruit notes, including pear, making it an excellent choice for this cocktail.
When I started to make this cocktail, I really wanted to make this a sweet drink that would be nice to sip on when you’re snuggled up to a fire and playing cards with friends.
I like to use simple syrup in my sweet tea and lemonade so I thought it would make the perfect addition to this drink too and why not add some cinnamon to give it another layer of flavor.
To be honest, I don’t know if I’ve ever made a wine cocktail with Chardonnay and now I’m wondering what I was thinking all this time because wow!
I love the combination of these flavors and although I’m truly a Mirassou Moscato girl, I feel like I could kind of be swayed to the Chardonnay.
